The writing experience of composing the "What is a Place" essay was almost difficult for me. I found it very challenging to write four to five pages off of this topic. I really had to think of the place I wanted to write about. I had a lot of ideas of places were I used to go or I have been to once or twice. But then it came to me and I knew it was the place. Once I thought of Roaring River I knew it was going to be the one I would write about. It is a piece of my family history. I really love this place. When I started, I felt stuck at some places and became frustrated. I tried hard and ultimately, pushed through and finished. I would say I did enjoy this paper, it was just challenging for myself. My favorite thing about this paper is that it made me reminisce about all the old memories that I have had there.
